Horse Rescue and Adventures

I rescued two horses with my neighbor.  Babe aka Momster was a Thoroughbred racehorse that had been sent to slaughter. She came to us in September, 2010.  We found out in a month that we were expecting a surprise in about 7 months.  In March, 2011, Arrow was born and I soon became even more aware of how much I really didn’t know about these beautiful animals. When I retired, I sent them to be trained at a local stable.  It didn’t work out for the mare.  She was traumatized and a number of illnesses forced me to make a tough decision.  I put her down in September, 2013. Arrow is now with another trainer and doing very well.  She will remain with this trainer and stable.  I thoroughly enjoyed those three years of having a very special relationship with both horses and miss having them around.
